GENE SIMMONS To Take His Family Jewels To Newfoundland
September 12, 2007According to Straight.com, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons is planning to take his hit TV series, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels", on the road to Newfoundland. In an interview with the Georgia Straight preceding his visit to Vancouver on Friday (September 14),Simmons revealed that he can't stand hunting. When asked if he was bringing his reality series to Newfoundland to bring attention on that province's notorious seal hunt, he replied, "I'm not allowed to say."
Simmons then added, "The idea that anybody would call that a sport is delusional."
Simmons's long-time live-in companion, former Playboy centerfold Shannon Tweed, was born in St. John's Newfoundland. Simmons said he has been told to set aside three weeks for his visit, but wouldn't say when he would arrive in the province.
In his interview with the Georgia Straight, Simmons discusses fashion, his expanding business empire, EcoDensity, and his claim that he has had sexual relations with approximately 4,800 women in his life.
